Darwin Regional Land Use Plan

Consultations completed and plan approved by the Minister for inclusion in the Planning Scheme in 2015.

The Minister for Lands and Planning recently approved the final Darwin Regional Land Use Plan 2015 and has included the plan into the NT Planning Scheme.

The Planning Commission sought public feedback on a Draft Darwin Regional Land Use Plan. The Commission held 26 stakeholder briefings and six public displays from 23 July – 1 September 2014. Fifty four submissions were received, as well as verbal feedback from the briefings and displays. All feedback was noted and included in a consultation report prepared by consultant firm Michels Warren Munday (MWM).

The Planning Commission would like to thank all those persons and organisations who attended briefings, made submissions, or provided feedback at one of the public display locations.

Since the close of the exhibition period on 1 September, the Planning Commission has reviewed the results of the consultation, and amended the document to reflect the feedback received, as well as to incorporate many of the suggestions provided during the exhibition period.

The Community Consultation Report, as well as a Chairman's Summary Report are now available for viewing. A media release on these reports and the public exhibition of the DRLUP can be found below.
